McAfee Anti-Virus Scanning Engine - ePO Update Package 5.3.00 RC
Product Overview
To aid continuous improvement of our Anti-Virus Scanning Engine we will be releasing regular Beta Engines throughout the development of the 5300 Anti-Virus Scanning Engine, allowing for regular feedback from the Beta community. This will enable you to be directly involved in the quality of our Anti-virus Scanning Engine, which forms the core malware detection and repair component of many McAfee products, throughout our development cycle of the 5300 Anti-Virus Scanning Engine.
Releases of the Beta Engines will be made at incremental points throughout the feature development of the new Anti-Virus Engine. We are expecting to release a new Beta Anti-Virus Scanning Engine every month, with the aim of releasing the 5300 Anti-Virus Scanning Engine during the second half of 2008.

Installation Notes
Please download the ePO Signed Update package then:
- Decompress the zip package to a location of your choice (on the system running ePO)
- Using the MAA (McAfee AutoUpdate Architechture) interface, browse to the above location
- Check-in the package by selecting the pkgcatalog.z file
- Once the package has been installed to your ePO repository, distribute as normal.
